So on Saturday i got a call from one of my cousins. We aren't as close as we used to be many years ago. She got married and just stopped having a social life. My other cousins and I would invite her to go out sometimes, but she'd always have an excuse not to go. Oh well, her lost. We stopped inviting her eventually and I guess that's how we lost even more touch. Not to mention later she started having kids.
Anyway, so she calls and it goes something like this...
'hey! how you been?? if i dont call you i would never hear from you..."
me: hey! i been okay.
her: how's the pregnancy going? you gained any more weight?
me: thinking (umm.. like that's a good thing....) Umm... no, i had gained about 8 lbs but I haven't gained anymore, I actually lost 1 lb. I been exercising everyday now and trying to eat healthier.
her: what!!??? you are NOT supposed to exercise at all!
me: hahaha... are you crazy lady? lol... exercising is good for you moreso when you are pregnant! It's not like I'm doing crushes or kickboxing, I'm just power walking or jogging a bit.
her: You need to eat and just gain whatever you need to gain! I didn't do any exercise whatsoever while pregnant
me: thinking (umm.. yeah no shit, that's why you gained so much weight and besides she was already overweight when she got pregnant)...I mean... not to be mean or anything, but she already gave birth like 4 months ago yet she still looks like she's pregnant :/
I don't know why the hell she'd think that not exercising at all is acceptable and tell ME i should stop. wtf?? My doctor recommended I do. I don't understand why she doesn't try to lose weight and just get back in shape... why would you want to look like that when you can do something about it?.. do it for yourself, for your health, for your poor husband... I just don't get it. And it annoyed me a bit that she'd give me such shitty advise.
